Welcome to my site. This site is created with the purpose of displaying my work to the world in a simple, clean, and effective manner. In developing, I originally began with a pure flash-only foundation but realized that i needed to transition over to something that will not only look cool but index well, have better opportunity for search engine optimization and what better than using a content managment system like Joomla?

Why Joomla?

Joomla lets me manage my content and designs much nicer than static-based site development If you are familiar with Joomla, you'll know what I mean. Plus if you want more, you can implement flash / java or any other format into this CMS platform and since it's open-source, you're free to do just about anything and create anything for yourself or your clients and choose or create from the many free modules and plugins that can help you develop the site you're looking for.

Not to forget, if you're a web app constructor / programmer and need more functionality, converting a web-based application for a site is as simple as creating a module or plugin for the CMS.

And WordPress?

I've also done some experimenting with this blogging tool as well. It's a very cool blogging system that one can implement but the difference is content management. Joomla unlike WordPress is solely focused on content management while Wordpress focuses on the blogging element. Although, these these days each of the two try to emulate each others' features as well. You can find modules and plugins for each system that help manage content and make blogging an ease.

Drupal and the rest of the gang?

Yea, many others accomplish some of these features also, but remember, it's not what you use in the end, it's how you get your message across.
